Odisha have to wait for few days more to invite monsoon

For those awaiting monsoon in Odisha news from the meteorological office is not encouraging. South- east monsoon is not going to get on Odisha in the next fifteen days even though Kerala had the onset of the monsoon on the 4th of this month. Agro works for this kharif season is feared to be delayed and the state may singe in the scorching heat for few more days.
According to Surendranath Pashupal the agro meteorologist the south- east monsoon at present is struggling to advance it is caught midway between Kerala and Tamilnadu. He rules out the possibility of the monsoon arriving Vishakhapatnam before 16 this month.
He however anticipates Odisha getting some rain next week due to low pressure which can be used for seed sowing. But the rain can’t be termed as pre-monsoon event said the weather expert as he added that there is time for the monsoon in Odisha. The rain,some part of the state is presently experiencing is not pre-monsoon rain. Had it been that there would have been fall of temperature but it has been up by2 degrees in the state. Temperature in Sambalpur on Saturday is on the higher side of 40 it may further go up to 43 degrees in the next two days. Jharsuguda and Angul will experience 2 degree hike in temperature to cross 40. The phenomena will continue to be so till 11 before which there may be no respite from heat.
