The Anganwadi worker’s organizations have been on a sit-in in Bhubaneswar for the last one and half months demanding a salary hike and government recognition.
As the Chief Minister announced an Anganwadi worker will now draw monthly remuneration at the rate of Rs 7500. It was Rs 6000 previously. Similarly, a Mini Anganwadi worker’s monthly salary has been hiked to Rs 5375 from Rs 4125. AN Anganwadi helper will get Rs3750 per month instead of Rs3000.
