Modi in Odisha: Modi lauds his government’s contribution to the development of Odisha and mocked the Naveen Government “sleeping”.

In a public rally in Balangir on January 15, he pointed at the indolence of the present Odisha government in utilizing available funds for the development of people and at the callousness of the previous UPA government in the center towards the rich cultural heritage of India as an inspiration of development and source of employment.

 

Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in Balangir, presented projects of Rs 1545 crore to Odisha that added up to cross over Rs 20,000 crore in three weeks. He termed it as the flow of development and congratulated the people of Odisha for the “new flow of the making of the new Odisha.”

In a public rally in Balangir on January 15, he pointed at the indolence of the present Odisha government in utilizing available funds for the development of people and at the callousness of the previous UPA government in the center towards the rich cultural heritage of India as an inspiration of development and source of employment.

And he underlined the Rs 20,000crore investment by his government in the developmental projects of Odisha in a month’s time.

“Can you imagine that the government of India gave Rs 20,000 crore inside a month’s time for the developmental projects in Odisha?” the PM asked the audience to their exciting realization.

Earlier on the 5th of this month he had unveiled projects valued Rs 4500 crore in Baripada. Before that, at Khordha, he had inaugurated Rs 15500 crores of projects.  “The investments will make the life of the people of Odisha easy, it will generate employment opportunity.”

He further added that in the railway sector alone, his government, in the last five years, has provided Rs 20,000crore. Going at the pace of investment by the previous government it would have taken 20 to 25 years.

On that day the PM had flagged off the debutant passenger train between Balangir and Bichhupalli line; He dedicated the electrification of 813 km of Jharsuguda-Vizinagaram and Sambalpur-Angul lines at a cost of Rs. 1085 crores.

He said Odisha government is “sleeping” rather than utilizing the Rs 4000 crore it got in the District mineral Fund from the center. It should use the money for the development of the people without waiting for the election.

Modi said that his government was doing the work for establishing the greatness of India on the pinnacle. Referring to the Gandhi family he said, they who had ruled the country like Sultan would not do it because they don’t understand the cultural greatness of India; they opposed the Statue of the Unity of Sardar Patel; they had opposed the Yoga Diwas also. India had a huge resource for heritage tourism but those who hold the power for years they did not care for it.
