ELECTION 2019: BJP’S FIRST LIST OF LOK SABHA CANDIDATES IS OUT, BAIJAYANT FOR KENDRAPARA AND APARAJITA SARANGI FOR BHUBANESWAR, IN THE ODISHA’S 10.

BJP, on Thursday, declared 184 names in its first lot of candidates for the ensuing general elections to the parliamentary constituencies. Names for ten Parliamentary Constituencies of Odisha have figured in the list that has the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for Varanasi at the top.BJP National President Amit Shah’s name for Gandhinagar comes next.

BJP has selected Baijayant Panda as its candidate for the Kendrapara Parliamentary constituency that he had been representing in Lok Sabha since 2009 till July last year when he quit the seat following his separation from BJD. He has joined BJP recently.

Balabhadra Majhi will get the BJP ticket for Nabarangpur. He had won this constituency in 2014 election in BJD ticket. But, he has defected to the Saffron organization two days back.

Jual Oram, the Union Minister in the Modi Cabinet, has been named for Sundergarh.

BJP has rested confidence in Rudranarayan Pani for the third time in a row to select him for the Dhenkanal parliamentary constituency. The former Rajya Sabha MP has been in the fray for the last two elections.

Pratap Sarangi has been selected for Balasore while Anant Nayak will get the Keonjhar ticket.

BJP has decided to field Aparajita Sarangi in Bhubaneswar. Mr. Sarangi has called it a day to her career in the civil service to start one in politics. Besides Mrs. Sarangi, BJP is going to field other two women candidates- Sangita Singdeo for Bolangir and Anit Priyadarshini for Aska.

Bhrugu Buxipatra will get BJP ticket to contest in Berhampur.
