Bhubaneswar: It is 2.8 degree Celsius today in Daringbadi! Sobriquet as the Kashmir of Odisha, Daringbadi is reported to have experienced snowfall last night. Kandhamal recorded 3 degree Celsius and Koraput 4.8 degree Celsius. Sonepur(5.8) and Angul(5.6) witnessed mercury falling under 6 degree Celsius. In total 9 weather stations in odisha are in sub-seven degree temperature.
Except the three coastal stations- Paradip(12.2), Puri( 12.6) and Gopalpur(12), all in Odisha experienced temperature below 10 degree Celsius.
Bhubaneswar recorded 9.5 degree Celsius.
So this is “cold wave at many places and severe cold wave at some places over the districts of Odisha.” as per weather statement of the IMD Bhubaneswar of today.
The temperature, whether generate touristic inspiration or a cold nightmare the weather condition is not likely to change in the next three days. The weather department has warned to stay alert.
