India’s active cases of Covid-19 come down to less than 3 percent.

India’s active Covid-19 case count has come below 3 lakh as the national update came on Tuesday. It counts 2 lakh 92 thousand and 518- less by 11121 than the previous days’ total. Active cases in India are continuously decreasing since the peak came in mid-September. Daily numbers of new patients are falling. On Tuesday, it was 19,556 against 30376 patients who became free of the infection.

For the first time, since July 3, India recorded new Covid cases fewer than 20 thousand in a day. For 9 days in a row, India’s daily Covid case count has been under 30 thousand, indicating the epidemic relenting. In September India used to witness nearly 1 lakh new cases in a day.

As per today’s Covid-19 update, India has cured more than 96 lakh patients to date amounting to 95.65 percent of the total, leaving 2.90 percent as active cases. India’s active case per million population is 219- among the lowest in the world. The total death percent is 1.45 that counts 146111.

In the last 24 hours, India added 19,556 Covid-19 cases, which is the lowest single-day report in 173 days. Of today’s new patients, 75.69 percent are from 10 states. Kerala added 3423 new patients to the national tally which is the highest among the Indian states. Maharashtra with 2843 stood second.
