The Indian Government has ordered total lockdown in the country ON 24TH March as a strategy to take on the COVID-9 onslaught.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah, on Sunday, said that the Modi Government is dedicated to alleviating the sufferings of people during the 21-day lockdown. The workers who have fled to their home state must be made to undergo 14-day quarantine, directed the Home Ministry. The state governments, as per the Central government direction, will ensure the employers to give salary to their workers without compromising in due time and amount.
The landlords will have to give relaxation in rent payment to their tenants for a month. They can’t either ask their tenants to evacuate in this period. These are the two other orders that the Home Ministry has issued to the states. Violation of the orders is liable to legal actions under the Disaster Management Act 2005, mentions the Home Ministry order.
