Fight against Corona: Modi Government dedicated to alleviate sufferings of People during the 21-day Nationwide Lockdown to fight COVID-19: Amit Shah

In the freshly emerging condition, where massive migrations of workers challenging the lockdown exercise, the union government urged the public to stay at home. It will take care of their grievances.

The Indian Government has ordered total lockdown in the country ON 24TH March as a strategy to take on the COVID-9  onslaught.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, on Sunday, said that the Modi Government is dedicated to alleviating the sufferings of people during the 21-day lockdown. He has pressed the state machinery to ensure the effective implementation of the lockdown orders and taking measures to mitigate the economic hardships of the people.

The Central Home Ministry has issued directions to the states and UTs to ensure shelters and food provisions for the poor including the migrant workers. The workers who have fled to their home state must be made to undergo 14-day quarantine, directed the Home Ministry. The state governments, as per the Central government direction, will ensure the employers to give salary to their workers without compromising in due time and amount.

The landlords will have to give relaxation in rent payment to their tenants for a month. They can’t either ask their tenants to evacuate in this period. These are the two other orders that the Home Ministry has issued to the states. Violation of the orders is liable to legal actions under the Disaster Management Act 2005, mentions the Home Ministry order.

When India has introduced total lockdown as a vow to take on the Coronavirus on the 24th March, two days after thousands of people hit the road to move to their native states. Economic and basic amenity challenges, as they claim, have forced them to flee.

Realizing the mass exodus a potential threat to the strategy against the Coronavirus, the Central government came up with measures to stop the migration.
