COVID-19: over 90,000 cases in 24 hours in India for the second day.

India found 90802 new cases of Covid-19 in 24 hours when the government updated the figures at 8.30 AM today. It is the highest rise in cases in a day. The previous highest was 90632 that had come yesterday.

As it has been so, Maharashtra’s big numbers led the daily cases to go past 90 thousand. The western Indian state had 23350 new cases in today’s total. It constitutes 25.46 percent. However, only five of the 35 states and UTs added more than 60 percent of the total cases came today. Andhra Pradesh added 10794, and Karnataka 9319. With 6518 and 5783 respectively, Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu are the two among the top five.

The top five case contributors are among the worst-hit COVID states, but states like Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and Jharkhand are now coming up with big numbers.  Besides, Delhi and Kerala are back in finding over 2000 cases daily. Odisha, in the 24 hours, saw 3810 corona cases. It is the 6th day in a row, when Odisha added more than 3 thousand cases
