Covid-19: About 17 thousand new cases in day takes India’s COVID-19 tally to 4.7 lakh

The Daily increase of COVID-19 cases in India is approaching 17,000, marking the alarming rapidity of the virus spread. In the last 24 hours, 16922 new cases loaded on India’s COVID-19 bulk. It was 15968 in the previous 24 hours. However, the deadly Coronavirus is acquiring more than 15000 people daily, in the last 7 days. With Wednesday’s addition, India’s total COVID-19 caseload counts 473105.

In the 16922 cases of the day, Delhi has 3788, and Maharashtra 3889. Tamil Nadu added 2865. The top three states constitute more than 62 percent of the total.

Telangana is another major contributor to the day’s hike with 891. It is an all-time high for the south Indian state. As the trend shows, the daily increase of COVID-19 cases in the South Indian state has been counting close to 900 in the preceding three days. Otherwise, it was around 300 before June 19, when it spiked to 499. The next day it added 546. And it became 730, 872, and 879 in the subsequent three days. The state’s virus infection count crossed 10,000 on Thursday.

Uttar Pradesh recorded 664 cases in the last 24 hours, one of the biggest single-day spikes in cases. However, Uttar Pradesh is gaining close to 600 cases daily now. Among other states registered a big increase in cases is Odisha with 282, Gujarat 572, and Haryana 490.

Though the climbing graph of COVID cases is threatening, India has recorded encouraging recovery rate. As many as 13012 patients were cured in the last 24 hours. Thus the total patients recovered from the infection are 271697 now, registering a rate of 57.43 percent.
