EPFO says no data leakage from their data centre

On the running news of EPFO data leakage the Ministry of labour & Employment has assured that” there is nothing to be concerned about” it and claimed no confirmed data leakage has been established or observed so far.

The Ministry in a release on Wednesday said that it was part of the routine administrative process under which warning regarding the vulnerabilities in data or software is being issued.And on this basis the sevices rendered through Common Service Centers CSC has been discontinued from 22nd March 2018.

The Ministry has also noted that the news was relating to the services through CSCs and not about the EPFO software or data centre as it added “no confirmed data leakage has been established or observed so far”.

There was a letter from the Ministry to Chief Executive Officer, Common Service Centre to plug the vulnerability of data and it baceme a news item saying the data in the EPFO has been leaked. .
