Kunduli gang rape case: BJP chief Amit Saha deputes team to fetch report from Kunduli

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha unit of BJP has got supply from its Central base at the kunduli front on Monday. President Amit Saha has deputed a three member team to fetch report from Kunduli on the case of gang-rape of the dalit girl which ultimately led to her suicide.

Odisha BJP has picked up the issue against the Naveen government in a massive way.

Amit Saha expressing his grief over the incident has constituted a three member committee comprisng Saroj Pandeya, Jyoti Dhube and Anju Bala.

The team, as per the press release, will visit the spot and submit report before the president.

On this gang rape case of the minor girl from Kunduli and her subsequent suicide, Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan dared the Naveen Government to hand over the case to CBI as he held Naveen Patnaik responsible for the “killing” of the 14-year girl.

“Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s hand has become red in the killing of the gang –rape victim of Kunduli.” said the Union Minister from Odisha. He said, this becomes the irony of democracy when the protector becomes predeator. “The DG police himself, the DIG Human Right securit and above all CM Naveen Patnaik as the home Minister are responsible in the suicide case of the girl.” said Sri Pradhan.

In the Anjana (gang rape) issue, the BJP Minister said, forensic report had been suppressed; present dispensation is doing the same thing with the case of the dalit girl Sasmita.

However the ruling BJD defended the probe into the case through a judicial mechinary. Its spokesman Amar Prasad Satpathy said, “Judicial inquiry has been ordered and there will be an impartial probe.” this is the best option, he said raising question on the performance CBI in many cases it taken up in Odisha.
