The Odisha government, on Tuesday, announced the restrictions under COVID-19 regulation 2020 in the state to go till April 15 in the wake of the changing Corona challenge. Initially, it was to stay until March 31.
After the first Corona case appeared in Bhubaneswar on the 15th, the Odisha government added more to the restrictions imposed earlier on March 13. Closure of schools will continue till 15TH of April. All examinations up to Class-IX will stand postponed. Besides, the government has taken several more measures to check the deadly virus from spreading.
Local administrations have also ordered shut down of malls and theatres in their respective jurisdiction. Earlier, the government has imposed restrictions on religious, social, and cultural congregations.
However, the Odisha government has allowed the malls of grocery items to function with strict guidelines of sanitization. The ongoing CHSE examinations and the subsequent evaluation work will go on under sanitized conditions. The evaluation of the HSC examination will also take place as per the program.
As of now, there is one confirmed corona-virus case in Odisha. A 31-Year man in Bhubaneswar, who had returned to India from Italy on the 6th of March was found Corona- positive when his test report came on the 15th. The man had gone through 6 days quarantine period in Delhi before he traveled to Bhubaneswar in a train on March 12. The symptoms of Corona fever appeared on him the next day, and the subsequent swab test confirmed him corona positive.
Corona positive cases in India, as of March 18, count 153 and the country with 1.3 billion populations is in the second stage of the viral attack. It is braced up to check the virus in the third stage.
