His joining in BJP was doing the round for a week now, though, in the beginning, he was brooding over o many other options-floating own party or joining Congress.
Finally, on Thursday he arrived in the BJP national headquarter in New Delhi and formally became part of the saffron outfit in the presence of two Union Ministers-Jual Oram and Dharmendra Pradhan, Baijayant Panda, K V Singdeo and Odisha in-charge Arun Singh.
After joining the party, Mr. Rout said that he would do all that he could to oust Naveen Patnaik government. He further said, “the present Naveen government is dipped in corruption.”
Dharmendra Pradhan, hailing Mr. Rout as a follower of Biju Babu’s ideology and a true leader of farmers, Tribals and backward class, said that his joining in BJP will make the party strong at the grass root level in Odisha.
