Notification will be issued on Sept 20 Last date for filing nomination is 27 September while 29 September is the date of scrutiny and last date for withdrawing nomination is October 1.
It being the first major electoral contest after the general election concluded in May it is going to be a big test for BJP that had registered a massive victory riding Modi wave. For Congress also it is a test to show it’s resilient.
Congress that was battered in the last election is to go through strong anti-incumbency as it is running the government in Haryana where as in Maharastra it is also sharing power with NCP.
In Maharastra it is going to be fight between alliances of Cong-NCP and BJP-Shivsena .In Haryana it will be a one to one face-off between Congress and BJP
