Election 2019: BJP Manifesto promises zero tolerance to terrorists, doubling farmers’ income, abrogation of Art.370

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), on Monday, offered its plans before the public seeking their endorsement for the next term in the government. The plan list, named Sankalpa Patra or paper of commitments, voices BJP’s idea on National security, Farmer’s welfare, Economy growth and many more.

The ruling party has also set 75 milestones to be accomplished by 2022- the 75th year of India’s independence.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, after he released the Sankalpa Patra along with party president Amit Shaha, Home Minister Rajnath Singh, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, and other senior leaders, said that the Sankalpa Patra revolves around three points- Nationalism, Antodaya and Good governance.

Nation first

Through the Sankalpa Patra, BJP has assured to continue its policy of zero tolerance towards terrorism. It has also reiterated its stand to abrogate Article-370 and Article-35 A of the Constitution of India related to Jammu and Kashmir.

Agriculture-

On agriculture and farmers’ welfare, BJP has promised to make efforts to achieve the goal of doubling the farmers’ income by 2022. They will invest Rs 25 Lakh crore to improve productivity in the farm sector.  The scope of PM-Kisan Yojana will be expanded to cover all farmers to make them entitled to the financial assistance of Rs 6,000 per annum, says the Sankalp Patra. BJP has also promised to introduce a pension scheme for small and marginal farmers. Interest-free farm loan is another promise that is placed in the Sankalp Patra.

Economy

They have promised to make India a five trillion economy by 2025 and ten trillion by 2030 thus to become the third largest economy. At present India stands at No.5 in the world economy ranking.

They will continue with the simplification of the GST process by engaging in dialogue with all stakeholders.

Ram Mandir

Reiterating its stand on Ram Mandir, BJP has promised that it will explore all possibilities within the framework of the Constitution and all necessary efforts to facilitate the expeditious construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

On the issue of Uniform Civil Code, BJP sticks to its stand as it has promised to draft a Uniform Civil Code, drawing upon the best traditions and harmonizing them with the modern times to ensure gender equality which cannot be achieved without a Uniform Civil Code.
